BUTTE, Mt. — Republicans help Alberto Garcia register to vote.
On Saturday the Montana state Republican party held a fundraiser. They ate hot dogs, chugged sugar water and listened to meandering speeches about socialism and how the end is near.
They also registered folks to vote and Alberto Garcia was one of those voters.
“Normally we wouldn’t want hispanics to register to vote, but Alberto is a great guy,” Party Chairman Will Deschamps said.
And after filling out his voter registration form, Garcia, a professor at Montana Tech, said, “It’s official. I’m now a registered Democrat in the state of Montana. Actually, I might be the first gay hispanic voter in Montana.”
“You’re gay too?” an exacerbated Deschamps asked.
