In 2003, Christine O’Donnell was on Scarborough Country and said that she can stop the entire country from having sex.
Former Real World: New York reality Eric Nies was explaining how he travels around the country educating people about safe sex, when O’Donnell flipped a switch and said he should be preaching chastity.
He asked her, “You’re going to stop the whole country from having sex?”
“Yeah!,” a frustrated O’Donnell responded.
“I’m a young woman in my 30s, and I remained chaste. Come on. It’s unrealistic to think that they’re just going to do it anyways.” O’Donnell proclaimed, “Kids are not dogs in heat.”
Interestingly, she herself was one of those teenagers having sex. She didn’t become “chaste” until she was in college. Now O’Donnell is 41-years-old. She’s never been married and doesn’t have any kids. If that’s what chastity has to offer a woman, that’s a tough sell.
